Turning Services

Our machine shop specializes in high-quality turning services tailored to meet your precise manufacturing requirements. Capable of handling components from small sizes up to 78" in diameter and lengths up to 166", FHP is equipped with state-of-the-art CNC lathes and manual turning equipment. We deliver accurate, efficient, and reliable turning solutions across a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.

Milling Services

FHP machines consist of a variety of CNC milling including 3, 4 and 5 axis machines. We have table capabilities of 80"x 32" and greater in our large vertical machines. Our large Boring Mills have capacities of 78"x 59"x 57" with a table weight capacity of 14,000 pounds. FHP can handle fractional size work pieces to large work greater than 80" in length. We routinely perform milling on a wide variety of materials including exotic metals.

EDM Services

Our Wire EDM service is perfect for low-volume, high-precision projects—offering quick turnaround times and cost-effective solutions. We also provide expert modifications and repairs of existing parts, helping you extend the life of your tools and components with minimal hassle.

Grinding Services

Blanchard Grinding

Our Blanchard grinders have been an integral part of our offered services. Whether it be for machining castings, plates, weldments, or any metal able to be abrasively machined, we have a full complement of capabilities to meet your needs. We are able to grind workpieces with a swing distance of up to 48” to achieve a flat machined surface.

Cylindrical Grinding

We offer both ID and OD cylindrical grinding. Utilizing our state-of-the-art machines, we can safely grind workpieces up to 20” in diameter and 72 “ long. Typically, the materials that we grind can include carbon steels, hardened tool steels, non-ferrous metals, and many aerospace and exotic materials. FHP also provides the outside process of chrome plating, and we grind to critical dimensions as well as achieve the required finishes.

Honing

We also provide internal honing from .06” to 20” in diameter, with a maximum length of 60”. This service allows for improved visual and micro-measured surface textures from a cross-hatch pattern to a near mirror finish, depending on material type, hardness, etc.

Surface Grinding

We offer a full complement of surface grinding to achieve critical surface finishes or for the machining of heat-treated materials. If desired, close tolerance flatness can also be obtained by surface grinding on most carbon steels. This operation, in conjunction with other processes such as hardening and tempering, can produce high-quality surface characteristics to meet your most critical requirements. Our machines have a travel capacity of 12"x24" using either magnetic or non-magnetic chucking. A maximum workpiece height of 14” allows for a variety of setups.

Inspection Services

We utilize our Zeiss Prismo 10 and Zeiss Contura G2 with Vast scanning to perform in-process and final inspections to ensure accurate parts. We also have a large assortment of calibrated hand tools and gauging to ensure quality, service, and fast delivery.

CAD CAM Services

Product Summary

We have almost unlimited import and export capabilities. This gives us the ability to program and inspect parts directly from solid models. ( Accepted File Formats)

With a combination of SolidWorks, Mastercam, Virtual Gibbs and Zeiss Calypso we can handle an extensive import and export capabilities of your project. This gives us the ability to program and inspect your parts directly from solid models. Our secure facility is equipped with cutting edge CNC programming technology, capable of handling everything from 2D to 5-axis machining. We can efficiently and accurately generate tool paths for our machines, ensuring speed, precision, and flexibility in production.

Material Services

It is a plus for a job shop to have the material in stock for short turnaround service. Our customers have demands that are answered with materials that can be cut within hours and machined the very same day.
